Antonia Garcia

Antonia “Toni” Garcia, of Hobbs, passed into the arms of angles on August 20, 2019, a day before her 54th birthday. Toni was born to Gonzalo and Victoria Garcia on August 21, 1965, here in Hobbs, and although her time with us was short, she will always be remembered in our hearts. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24 at Griffin Funeral Home at 1:30 pm, a visitation was held on Friday. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Toni was a fun and outgoing woman, a devoted mother, and the cool aunt As well as a loving girlfriend who always had space in her heart for one more. She loved to take care of her family, baking, and cooking for everyone. Toni cooked every meal for her family. Time spent with her love, Kevin, or her son Devante was treasured. Toni's son was her world, and raising his was the light of her life. She was also a deeply religious person; a devoted member of St. Helena's Catholic Church, prayed for everyone and forgave people easily. Toni Loved to go on road trips and check out the scenery as they drove by and listened to music. Whether it was at home or out and about, music was a big part of Toni's life. There was always something on the radio, 80's classics or tex-mex country; and where there was music, Toni was dancing. Family and friends will never forget the time spent with Toni, watching 49ers games, going to the casino, or just sitting at home after getting an oceanwater from sonic. This special woman will always have a place in our hearts.

Toni is preceded in death by her loving mother.

Left to treasure her always is her son, Devante, fiance Kevin Lipscomb, father Gonzalo, sisters Janie, Susie and Rose and brother Joe. She also leaves behind her nine beloved nieces and nephews Jose Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Ernesto Garcia, Ashley White, Marissa Sholes, Soledad Ramirez, Alexis Garcia, and Victoria Garcia as well as a plethora of great-nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
