Agustina Chavarria

Augustina Chavarria, of Hobbs, passed away on December 22, 2022 surrounded by those who love her. She was born on September 23, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to Pedro Juardo and Alicia Chavarria. A funeral service in her honor will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Home at 6pm. Family and friends are welcome at the Funeral Home starting at 10am to pay their respects.

Augustina was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved cooking for her family, always making sure those who she loved were taken care of. As a young woman she loved dancing, and she was always joking around with her family. Her jokes hid a core of absolute iron, she was as strong as steel when she needed to be. Her laughing heart, and joyful personality will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, her husband Antonio Cruz and one brother, Javier Juardo.

Left to treasure the memories are her children Antonio Cruz Jr. and Tania Cruz, grandchildren Axel Flores, Vanessa Cruz, Dylan Cruz, Damien Cruz, and Fernanda Morales, siblings Rogelio Juardo, Teresa Mojica, Soccoro Juardo and Alicia Juardo, as well as a host of extended family and friends who loved her very much.
