Anastacia Vasquez, 8 months pregnant, a devoted mother, and her daughter Diana Melissa Vasquez, a senior year and dedicated student at Hobbs High school were killed in a tragic car accident by a drunk driver on December 16, 2023. Anastacia Vasquez and her daughter Diana Melissa leave behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on throughout their cherished memories. Anastacia is survived by her domestic partner Marvin Giovany Mendez Ordonez, her sons Kevin Alexander Rodriguez Vasquez, Eduardo Antonio Vasquez and her daughter Sofia Maryari Mendez Vasquez, sisters Vilma Suyapa Vasquez, Maria Elena Henriquez Vasquez, Norma Lidia Henriquez Vasquez and brother Jose Dodanin Henriquez Vasquez, and numerous other relatives and friends. Diana Melissa Vasquez, a young dreamer, wrote an essay in 10/2022 titled "The Future" In there, she mentioned that she was not sure about her future, but she dreamed to be a model since a little girl. She was scared of making the wrong decisions due to her young age. But in the future Melissa wanted to build a house for her beautiful mother, to travel to different places, take many pictures, to be very happy, and enjoy every moment of life, as if there was no tomorrow. A visitation service to honor Anastacia and Diana Melissa's life will take place at Griffin Funeral Home on December 27, 2023. The visitation will start at 12:00PM and conclude at 8:00PM. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Anastacia’s and Diana Melissa’s remarkable, short journey, and share love and support during this time of grieving.
