Armando Villalobos, of Hobbs, passed away on August 12,2020 with his family at his side. He was born on Decemeber 11, 1955 in Mexico as one of 11 children to Lorenzo and Cruz Maria Villalobos. A visitation was held at Griffin Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 2-5pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Pallbearers for the service are George Alvidrez, Ernesto Cervantes, Ruben Chumacero, Manuel Baeza, Freddie Villalobos and Adan Villalobos, Jr.
Armando above all other things was dedicated to his family. Throughout his life he worked hard as an electrician and in the oil fields to provide for his two children Ruby and Edmar, and to be there for his 10 brothers and sisters. He loved going to the horse races here in town, going as often as he was able. Armando also loved his grandchildren and spending time with them was his joy. Though he is gone from our sight, we know he will never be gone from the hearts of those who love him.
Armando is preceded in passing by his parents, Lorenzo and Cruz Maria Villalobos and his beloved daughter Ruby Gonzalez.
Left to treasure his memory are his son, Edmar Villalobos, grandchildren Madaline Gonzalez, Braylan Gonzalez, Emara Villalobos and Camry Villalobos, brothers Alfredo (Nelly) Villalobos, Amador (Stella) Villalobos, Adan (Noemi) Villalobos, and Alberto Villalobos, sisters Hortensia Segovia, Emma (George) Alvidrez, Celia Ronquillo, Lucy (Ruben) Chumacero, Lupe (Manuel) Biaza and Ida ( Ernesto) Cervantes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss him dearly
