Mr. Masiel was born November 18, 1941, to Pedro Masiel and Maria Delores Escobar in Zamora Michoacan, Mexico. Arturo was called home at the age of 81 on September 21, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Arturo was a hard-working man and was a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic, welder, and contractor, because if he wanted something built, he built it. He worked for Reeco Well Services for 26 years until he retired in 2011. He enjoyed going camping and being surrounded by all his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved his viejita.
Arturo is survived by his wife Lupe Masiel of Hobbs, New Mexico. They were married 32 years. 3 sons, Bobby Masiel (Angeles), Arturo Jr Masiel, Javier Masiel (deceased). 4 daughters Ophelia Hinojos (Ray), Connie Chavarria, Adela Sanchez (Harvey), and Angela Rendon (Michael). 3 brothers Javier Masiel, Pete Masiel (deceased), Jose Luis Masiel. 6 sisters Anita (deceased), Martha, Lupe, Sara, Yolanda, and Maria Estela (deceased). 27 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arturo was preceded in death by his parents Pedro Masiel and Maria Delores Escobar, son Javier Masiel, brother Pete Masiel, sister Anita, and sister Maria Estela.
