Bobbye Mcnew

Bobbye McNew was born on July 14, 1936, in Olney, Texas to Floyd Osmond and Mattie Sue Phelps. She grew up and went to school in Olney, Texas. She made her home in Hobbs, New Mexico where she worked for over 40 years in banking. She enjoyed interacting with her customers whenever she helped them. She loved her hometown Hobbs, New Mexico for her it was the greatest town there ever was and she loved the state of New Mexico as well. Bobbye enjoyed going to her beloved Church- Church At Hobbs and singing in the choir and singing solos. She especially loved all her fellow church goers and listening to Pastor John and Dolores Ayers. She was a passionate woman who enjoyed many hobbies. Some of her favorite hobbies were traveling in the United States while taking many photos of all the different places she visited. Bobbye would get to share those memories with her family and would enjoy spending quality time with all of them.

Bobbye is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Wayne, and her grandson Joseph (Joekent) Ward.

She is survived by two daughters Leslie Vargas (Joe), Sandi Newman, grandsons Jeremy Gough, Kris Ward, Dustin Wilcox, Kenneth Newman Jr. Shane Newman, Steven Sharp, granddaughter Erika Brewster, fourteen great grandchildren, her sister Betsy Andrews, many nieces and nephews who she loved and enjoyed very, very much.
