Maria Del Carmen AnzuresMontaez, 61, of Tatum, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Denver City, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Jose Gutierrez, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday September 1st from 9:00 AM 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Carmen was born on April 10, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Miguel and Soledad Chavira. She married Miguel Anzures in December 1968 and they celebrated over 35 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2003. Carmen married Pilar Montaez in June 2004. She enjoyed cooking and was always feeding people and had a green thumb and enjoyed her flowers and plants. Carmen loved her animals, especially Little Bit. Her family was very important to her and loved raising her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and always read her bible. Carmen was also preceded in death by her parents 2 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Pilar Montaez daughters, Carmen Padilla and husband, Mike, Yesenia Anzures and husband Victor Castruita and Miriam Anzures and fianc, Charles Litt sister, Mague Gallegos and husband Maria del Jesus Gallegos 12 grandchildren a dearly loved grandson by marriage, Isidrio Jr. Montez 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
