Celestino Sosa

Celestino B. Sosa, Sr., 94, was born in Carlsbad, NM to Nicomedes Sosa and Isabel Barraza on April 6, 1924. Celestino passed away on February 13, 2019 in Hobbs, NM and was the eldest of 12 siblings. He was a hard worker; he loved fishing and was devoted to his family.

Celestino was preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank Sosa; brothers: Manuel, Luis and Angel Sosa; and sister, Mary Sosa. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Juanita Sosa; sons: Celestino Jr., Nick, Joseph, Tony and Alfredo Sosa; daughters: Luisa Sosa and Gloria Enriquez; brothers: Ramon, Mercedes and Tony Sosa; sisters, Lola and Lupe Sosa; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers to serve will be Larry Ysasi, Richard Ysasi, Frankie Sosa, Adolf Sosa, Javin Medrano, Matthew Sosa, Jake Sosa and Jonathan Sosa.

Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00PM, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
