Charles Brantley, 63, passed away, Friday, July 5, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Millie Miller, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 6th, at the funeral home.
Charles was born on May 1, 1950 in Vienna, Louisiana to Charles and Algie Brantley. He was a carpenter for over 35 years and built many of the houses in Hobbs. Charles was the pastor for True Love Ministries for 3 years. He loved to fish and barbeque. Pastor Charles was very loving and sensitive to others never met a stranger and always tried to find the good in a person. He had a sense of humor and always tried to make you laugh. Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Brantley daughter, Sherry Jackson son, James Alton Wilson sisters, Ollie Gail Lynch of Lebanon, KS, Maude Brantley of New York, NY, Mary Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Elby Harrison of Ruston, LA and Debra Adams of Los Angeles, CA brother, Terry Jenkins of Las Vegas, NV 5 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
