Charlotte Jones

Charlotte Joyce Jones, 91, of Hobbs passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in Hobbs. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Keith Wilks, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:0011:00 AM, Thursday at Griffin Funeral Home.

Joyce was born on November 28, 1922 in Breckenridge, Texas to Lonnie and Charlotte Rogers. She grew up in Breckenridge and graduated high school in 1940. Joyce graduated from business college and worked for the Pentagon during World War II. She met Clyde L. Jones and they married on April 19, 1951 in Roswell, NM and celebrated over 56 years of wonderful marriage until his death in 2007. Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother she had a great love of the Bible. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Byron Rogers and Ted Rogers.

Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Vourazeris and husband, Keith grandchildren, Noel Turner and husband, Steve and Adam Vourazeris and wife, Shana great grandchildren, Isabell Turner, Sloan Turner, Nicholas Turner, Jacob Vourazeris, Keller Vourazeris and Aiden Vourazeris.
