Chris Gaston

Chris Elton Gaston, Sr., 54, of Hobbs, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 in Lovington. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM8:00 PM, Wednesday the 17th with the family receiving friends from 6:008:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mr. Gaston was born on August 15, 1960 in Nocona, TX to Alton and Oma Gaston. He was a hard worker all of his life but enjoyed fishing, hunting and barbequing with his friends and family. Chris loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a good father, grandfather and brother and will be truly missed. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Karen Belucki and Gayla Keeling.

Survivors include his daughter, Gena Oliver and husband, Nijoy of Abilene, TX son, Chris Gaston, Jr. and wife, Rebecca of Hobbs brothers, Ray Gaston of Hobbs and Ricky Gaston of Nocona, TX sisters, Mozel Hutson of Forestburg, TX and Debra Kerr of Arlington, TX grandchildren, Justice Gaston, Camrie Gaston, Alyssa Gaston, Taylor Gaston, Jackson Gaston, Kaden Gaston, Malorie Gaston and Christian Oliver and great grandchild, Landyn Gaston.
