Clara Mendoza

Clara Mendoza went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2019 at the age of 92. She was born on November 5, 1927 to Albino and Estefana Sanchez in Pilares, Mexico. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16 at 11am at Iglesia de Dios, with interment to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8pm at Griffin Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6pm.

Clara married the love of her life, Salvador Mendoza, on February 13, 1946. Together they raised a wonderful family who became the focus of her whole world. She loved spending time with her family, cooking fantastic meals and spending time outside with her children, and later, grandchildren was her joy. Clara will be truly missed by those who love her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, two sons Alonzo and Juan Mendoza, daughter Maria Jaquez and great-grandchildren Anthony Gomez and Diseree Nicole Bradshaw.

Left to treasure her memory always are her 3 daughters; Anita Vallejo (Marcos), Consuelo Mendoza, Virginia Mendoza (Lloyd), her daughter and son by marriage, Manuel Jaquez and Maria Mendoza, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.
