Clifford Strasner

Clifford "Cliff" Strasner, 65, of Midland passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Odessa, Texas. The family will be accepting guests at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Memorial services will be on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel at 10:00am. There will be a memorial service held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00AM at Griffin Funeral Home in Hobbs, NM.
Cliff was born on July 16, 1951 in Kilgore, Texas to Cecil and Betty Strasner. He is survived by his wife, Carla, of 20 years; brother, Bob, and his partner, Paul; sons, Casey and wife Daisha Strasner of Hobbs, NM, and Craig and wife Jill Strasner of Midland, TX; and step daughters, Andrea and husband Leslie Wood of Bluff Dale, TX and Jamie and husband Clayton Meurer of Bluff Dale, TX. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Clay, Dylan, and Sydney, all of Hobbs, NM, and Jade and Chaz of Midland, TX, and 5 step-grandchildren, Tristan, Jillian, Aiden, Olivia, and Jackson all of Bluff Dale, TX.
Cliff worked for many years in the oil industry where he made numerous friends and colleagues. In 2007, Craig and Cliff started their own company, Safety Solutions. With his health failing, he semi-retired and left the running of the company to his son, Craig. Above all, Cliff loved animals, especially his donkeys! His spirit will continue on with each of the lives he knew and loved. We are better for knowing and loving him. We will cherish his memory every day of our lives.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Cope, Hal Reese, Billy Carson, Hector Rodriguez, Rick Kellums, Bobby Sanchez, Darrell Briles, and Bill Robertson.
