Clyde Mayfield

Clyde Mayfield, 77, of Carlsbad, formerly of Hobbs passed away February 24, 2017 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Fair, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.

Clyde was born on April 5, 1939 in Nocona, Texas to Frank and Lou Frances Mayfield. He married Betty Solomon on September 18, 1962 in Hobbs, NM and they celebrated over 54 years of wonderful marriage. Clyde owned and operated Mayfield Construction for over 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; daughters, Melinda Tijerina (Martin) and Tracy Mayfield; brothers, Horace Mayfield, Charles Mayfield and Dennis Mayfield; sister, Debbie Livingston; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister.
