Connie Atkins

Connie M. Atkins, 96, of Hobbs passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Jefferson Street Church of Christ with Minister Clay Martin, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, the 25th from 4:30-6:30 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Connie was born on December 6, 1918 in Lubbock, Texas to Fred and Mae Henry. She lived in Hobbs for over 55 years and had worked at Wacker's and Family Book Store for many years. Connie was a faithful member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ for over 40 years and loved her church family. She enjoyed writing in her spare time.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Atkins and Bill Atkins; daughters, Gerry Russell and Vicki Crossland; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
