Danny Dobbs, 61, of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2022 surrounded by those who love him. A funeral service in his honor will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Griffin Funeral Home at 10am, with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com.
Danny was born the third of five boys on July 20, 1961 to Joye and Patty Dobbs. He attended Hobbs High School and graduated in 1979. Just a year later he married the love of his life, Cynthia Raulston and together they raised a wonderful family. Danny was an infinitely talented young man, with a passion for music, writing all the music for his own wedding and songs for special occasions. He also greatly enjoyed restoring old cars, even running his own autobody business for a while. In the last chapter of his work career, Danny spent 30+ years managing a local engineering laboratory. As he got older, he enjoyed spending time with his two sons, and eventually his 3 grandsons who were his greatest joy. Danny was an active person; he was an enthusiastic member of the Maker community and loved tinkering and inventing gadgets - sharing this passion with his grandsons. His enthusiasm for life and his kind and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all those who love him. Danny was an exceptional man, husband and father.
Preceding him in passing are his parents, Joye and Patty Dobbs, and 2 brothers Kelly and Paul Dobbs.
Left to treasure the memories are his lovely wife Cynthia, sons Josh Dobbs and Jason & Camille Dobbs, 3 grandsons Riley, Korbyn and Dakota and 2 brothers Rick and Robert Dobbs. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
