Domingo Castillo

Domingo (Mingo) Castillo, 72, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Seguro as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00-8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:30 pm at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mingo was born on December 22, 1944 in Rockspring, Texas to Roque and Maria Castillo Sr. He married Santos Sanchez and they celebrated over 36 years of marriage.

Mingo is survived by his wife, Santos Castillo; his children, J.D. and Eva Castillo, Annette Castillo, Inocente and David Urias, Jose Herrera, Melisa and Lawrence Smith and Yvonne and Gerald Gill; 7 brothers and sisters; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
