Earl Smith

Earl Smith, 77, of Hobbs, passed away, Monday, January 7, 2013 in Hobbs. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Little Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Winford Gipson, officiating.

Mr. Smith was born on July 13, 1935 in Marland, Texas to Lawrence and Frankie Smith. He was a professional ceramic tile layer. Mr. Smith enjoyed playing dominoes and was liked by everyone. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mable Smith of Hobbs daughters, Pamela Smith of Hobbs, Veronica Farley Raul of Houston, TX and Debra Triplett Larry of Hobbs son, Ryan Smith of Hobbs Step daughters, Linda Stinson Melvin of Hobbs, Betty Oliver of Hobbs and Glenda Oliver of Houston, TX stepson, Anthony Evans of Hobbs numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
