Elda Enriquez De Estrello

Elda E. Estrello., known to all of us as “Mama Elda”, of Hobbs, NM, was born May 24, 1942 to Panfilo Enriquez and Trinidad Fernandez in Cuauhtemoc Chihuahua, Mexico. She entered into eternal paradise on September 25, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. A home going celebration will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at Victory Center Church located at 300 E Marland., with a visitation being held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 3:00-7:00 p.m., at Griffin Funeral Home located at 401 N Dalmont Street. Please be advised that masks are required at the Funeral Home. Mama Elda was a Woman of God. She praised and loved God until her last breath. She was best known for her amazing voice and her love for music. She loved to sing Mariachi Music and throughout her years she played in many places and also recorded a few CD’s. Mama Elda was also known as the best cook where her and her husband started La Paloma Mexican Restaurant in Pecos, Tx and then later introduced their amazing authentic Mexican food in Hobbs. She also had a burrito truck where she served her famous brisket burritos. Mama Elda loved a crowd. She loved being the center of attention and loved to make her family laugh. She was competitive and loved to play card games with the family. Mama Elda loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. One thing about Mama Elda was that if you didn’t answer your phone she would call you until you picked up. She was determined! Her big heart and loving presence will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her 2 children, Arturo Estrello, Jr. and Elida Juarez, her brothers Panfilo Enriquez, Armando Enriquez, Saul Enriquez, Eleazar Enriquez, and her sisters Rosa Martha Enriquez. Her Grandchildren Luis Estrello, Rene Juarez, Mireya Estrello, Noemi Estrello, Laura Davis, Sergio Estrello, Jr., and Marcos Estrello, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by extended family members and friends who loved her dearly and who also survive her. Meeting her at Heaven’s Gate is her husband, Arturo E Estrello, who left this earth just 5 months ago, Sergio Juan Estrello, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and many more loved ones.
