Elizabeth Tupa Wesley, 69, of Odessa, TX, formerly of Hobbs, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Griffin Funeral Home with the Reverend Greg Kennedy, officiating. Visitation will be held Friday the 9th from 9:00am - 7:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 at Griffin Funeral Home.
Elizabeth was born on October 13, 1947 in Hallettsville, Texas to Anton and Matilda Tupa. She started working at Unichem and advanced her job to senior lab technician. During her 40 years of employment she saw the company change from Unichem to Baker Hughes. Elizabeth was a dedicated worker and loved her job. Her work ethics carried over to her faithfulness and love of her family. She was always with them for birthdays and all occasions. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Bourque (Pete) of Loving, NM and Dolly Fuentes (Robert) of Hobbs; sisters, Evelyn Bujnoch of Hallettsville, TX and Jeanette Goggans of Victoria, TX; brothers, Jerome Tupa of Houston, TX and James Tupa of Boerne, TX; her best friend, Richard Gregory of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Kristopher Kerby, Jessica Carranza, Ashley Kerby, Alexandria Elizabeth Salazar and Dominic Fuentes; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
