Emily Salazar

Emily Salazar, loving mother, grandmother, wife, aunt and friend; of Hobbs, passed away on January 22, 2023, surrounded by those who love her. A funeral mass will be held in her name on January 27, 2023, at St. Helena Catholic Church at 10am. Family and friends are welcome at Griffin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 12pm-7pm, with a rosary to be recited at 5pm.

Emily was a deeply spiritual and private person, who loved her family with all that she is. She dedicated her life to her husband and her five children. Though she is gone from our sight she will always be with those who carry her memory in their hearts.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Robert (Gine) Salazar, Angela (Mike) Johns, Theresa Salazar, Michael (MarryAnn) Salazar, Toby Salazar and her sisters Cathy (Ralph) Escobedo, Mary Rodriguez, Lorraine Romero, and Cecilia (Henry) DeLara, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Preceding her in passing are her parents, her husband Mike Salazar, brother Raymond Romero, and two nephews.
