Ernest Trevino

Ernest T. Trevino, of Hobbs, passed away on March 4, 2022 at his home. Funeral services are not scheduled at this time.

Ernest was born on November 7, 1942 in McKinney, Texas to Cirilo and Carmen Trevino, the second of six children. He was a dedicated and hardworking family man who did not know the meaning of slow down. Ernest not only managed his own farm, he also owned his own custom farming business, Trevino Farms. He was also a self-taught mechanic. He repaired all his own equipment and enjoyed rebuilding Ford engines. He also enjoyed teaching the family about cars and how to maintain them. He was most proud of his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. He will be incredibly missed by all those who love him.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Cirilo and Carmen Trevino, sister Janie Prieto, brothers Jessie and Felix Trevino and his Aunt Maria Partida.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 53 years, Martha, their children Ricky Trevino, Ernie (Katherine) Trevino, Andy (Cristy) Trevino, Dolly (Jarrod) Shaner, Eva (Moises) Paltan, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a great great grandchild…. As well as his brothers Sam (Linda) Trevino, John (Mary Lou) Trevino and numerous nieces and nephews.
