Ethan Lee, 12, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Hobbs.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dale Shook, officiating.

Ethan was born on March 19, 2001 in Hobbs to Jennifer and Johnny Lee. He was very passionate about playing football for the Highland Eagles and his traveling Eagles team. He was proud of his collection of RetroAir Jordans, enjoyed spending the summers with his friends and family, swimming in his papa and nannys pool, and taking family vacations in Texas.

Ethan excelled in academics and was a participant in the Discovery Program and received numerous awards and honors for grades and citizenship. Ethans love of Star Wars at an early age kindled his desire to become a writer and director.

He was a devoted friend who was loved by all who knew him he never met a stranger. Once you were his friend, you were his friend for life making lifetime impressions on people he had just met.

Ethan was preceded in death by his memaw, Gaylene Jackson great grandfathers, Leroy Cardinal and John Lee and great grandmother, Lilly Mae Reed

Survivors include his parents, Johnny Lee and Jennifer Lee sister, Mackenzie Lee grandparents, David and Deborah Cardinal Frederick and John and Theresa Lee great grandparents, Bill and Carolyn Garvin, Wanda Lee and Alma Rigdon aunts and uncles, Jimmy Lee, Justin Jackson, Christopher Mills, Chris and Susan Jackson, Khara Jackson, Derrick and Jovan Frederick, David and Kim Frederick and James Frederick cousins, Meradyth Jackson, Terra Jackson, Summer Jackson, Stormy Jackson, Skyler Jackson, Zaiden Jackson, Thomas Aurelio, Trent Frederick, Jayden Parker, Klohie and Maddie Lee, Mia Hannah and Ryan Frederick close friends, Richard Ramirez, Stratton Davis, Emily and Jarrod Funderburk and many very close friends.

Ethan was a great bubba to his baby sister, Mackenzie, whom he loved and adored his dads best friend and his mothers heart.
