Eulene Pierce

Eulene Rushing Pierce, 93 went home with the Lord Tuesday 8/1/18. She was born in Henderson County Texas on April 25, 1925 to Orbin Kelly Rushing and Exie Miller Rushing. Eulene met her future husband at church on Easter Sunday in 1940. When she moved with her family to West Texas where her grandfather had settled, Frank Pierce followed. They were married on January 16, 1943 and they remained together until his death in 2013. Together they raised 3 beautiful children. Eulene's entire life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren; Mikey and Tony Bostick, Tammy and Billy Pierce and Chris and Rhonda Thomas. She would often fix 3 or 4 different breakfasts because each child wanted something different. Her happiest times were with her family. Eulene spent her adult life helping others, retiring as a nurse's aid from Good Sam. She was always the first to take a home-cooked meal to others, and to offer assistance wherever she could. Family reunions, weddings, and other family gatherings were special to her. She was proud of her family, and of the fact none of her children were divorced.
With her passing this 5 generation circle is broken; Eulene was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Frank, 2 brothers Billy Ray and Leon Rushing and one grandson Tony Bostick.
