Gwendolyn Taylor

Gwendolyn Mae (Castleman) Taylor age 78 passed August 23, 2021 in Mineral Wells, Texas. Gwen was born June 14, 1943 in Menard, Texas to Lynn and Leona Castleman.

Gwen was married for over 50 years to Butch Taylor, she loved being a housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gwen was a strong willed, strong headed woman, but would always welcome you into her home! She kept everything very clean and loved tending to her yard and flowers. Gwen was the master Easter egg hunter, winning every time at her family egg hunts.  She enjoyed playing poker, and bingo along with watching detective shows. Her favorite time was spent with her family.

Gwen is survived by her son Jason Taylor (LaTanya), daughter Charma Lynch (Olin), grandchildren Chelsea Taylor (Alex), Garrett Bengel (Caitlin), Cheyenne Lynch and Jayce Downing (Michael). Great-grandchildren Braydon, Max, Maci, Waylon, and Tyson, sister Mary Steamer (Brian), great-niece Damona Goss and Great-Great-Niece Slayde Rascon.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, at 10:00am at Griffin Funeral Home Hobbs, New Mexico interment at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
