Ismael Buddha Gonzales, 46, of Hobbs, passed away October 2, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 7:00 PM, Tuesday the 7th at the funeral home.

Ismael was born on November 29, 1967 in Hobbs, NM to Jose and Lucia Gonzales. He worked in the oilfield and detailed cars. Buddha enjoyed break dancing and listening to oldies music.

Survivors include his sons, Jaime Gonzales and Jose Gonzales, both of Hobbs 2 grandchildren sisters, Lupe Arturo Maciel of Hobbs, Isabel Rascon of Lovington, Sally Chavez of Hobbs, Esperanza Tony Quiroz of Hobbs, Rosa Frias of Lovington, Anna Nick Morales of Hobbs and Esmeralda Don Harmon brothers, Richard Stephanie Gonzales of Hobbs, Joe Pam Gonzales of Alma, MI, Rudy Gonzales of Hobbs, Jessie Gonzales of California and Pete Reta Gonzales of Seattle, WA stepsisters, Irma Maldonado, Sara Ramirez and Monica Tavarez stepbrothers, Felix Valdez and John Valdez and numerous nieces and nephews.
