Mary Jane Miller died peacefully April 29, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born, Mary Jane Dowler, January 28, 1929 in Las Vegas, NM. She married James R. Miller on November 27, 1947 while they were students at New Mexico Highlands University. They moved to Hobbs in 1951. She was predeceased by her husband Jim on October 16, 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Steven P. Miller (Faye Codding) of Decatur, Georgia and Patrick D. Miller (Lynn) Houston, TX; five grandchildren: Patricia McCormick (James), Canyon, TX; Amanda Harada (Colton), Amarillo, TX; Benjamin Nunn-Miller, Atlanta, GA; Andrew Nunn-Miller (Tila), San Diego, CA; Ramsey Miller, Decatur, GA; and two great grandchildren, McKenzie and J. P McCormick. She is also survived by her sister, Phyliss Dellinger and numerous nephews and nieces.
Jane was known for being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and mentor. She volunteered at First United Methodist Church, PEO and Cub Scouts. A celebration of life will be held in Houston, TX later in the year. "You will be missed by so many for your love, your care, your full commitment to your family! God bless."
