Janice Kormendy

Janice R. Kormendy, 78, of Spring Branch, Texas passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 2, at 11 am at Griffin Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kormendy was born December 26, 1940 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Dory and Mattie Booher. She married the love of her life Ernest Kormendy on October 27, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Mrs. Kormendy retired from LRMC as a RN, she worked in the OR, recovery, holding, outpatient and even some Endo. Mrs. Janice Kormendy is preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters and her loving husband, Ernest.

Left to treasure her memory are her children; Tracy Kormendy of Spring Branch, Texas, Gay-Dawn Henry (Brian) of Hobbs, New Mexico, Jeffery Kormendy (Brandie) of Roswell, New Mexico, Dana Chapler (Roy) of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Rhonda Kormendy of Carlsbad, New Mexico, one sister, and several nieces, nephews, a handful of grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Madison Henry, Makayla Kormendy, MaKenzie Kormendy and Kimber Kormendy.
