Jesse Martinez

Jesse Martinez, 81, of Hobbs passed away April 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 3:00-6:00PM at the Eagles Lodge.

Jesse was born on May 6, 1936 in Cibolo, Texas to Jose and Jesusa Martinez. He married Rosie Gutierrez in 1960 in Odessa, Texas and they celebrated over 58 wonderful years together. He was the owner of J&R Goodies in Hobbs for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his animals at the farm.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Martinez of the home; daughter Peggy Gonzales; sons Roy G. Martinez and Tracy A. Martinez and his wife, Kia all of Hobbs; brothers Richard Martinez and Fortunato Martinez; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Jesse was full of life; a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed.
