Joe Rendon Calderon passed away March 7, 2022, after bravely fighting a long battle with illness. On his last day he was surrounded by his loving family, whom he adored more than anything. Joe worked as a roofer for over 45 years and was considered a master of the trade. Though he had no formal education he was a skilled craftsman and a true “jack of all trades” with a vast amount of knowledge in many subjects. He married the love of his life, Ema Zamora on October 14, 1966, and together they spent 55 devoted years. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and his love of music. Many will cherish memories of him at countless holiday’s, parties, and BBQs, where he entertained with his cool, witty, genuine personality.
Joe was a lifelong Elvis Presley fan. He remained true to his classic style of fashion and was never without his trademark fedora. Ultimately what drove Joe through his life was his dedication and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. His guidance and wisdom will be ingrained into his family for generations. His legacy lives on in his wife Ema Calderon, daughter Linda Calderon Ybarra, daughter Crystal and her husband Aaron Ayala, grandchildren Jasmine and her husband Andrew Castillo, Janeah Ybarra, Charisma Calvillo, Chloe Calvillo, Eden Ayala, Logan Ayala and Adrian John Calderon Baeza. He is also survived by his brothers David Calderon, Gilbert Calderon, Ruben and his wife Esperanza Calderon, sisters Mary Calderon and her partner Santa. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews will also remember him.
