John Ivory

John Wayne Ivory, Jr., 52, of Hobbs, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 10,2013 at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ with Pastors Ernest Hodge and Cora Brown, officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 7:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mr. Ivory was born on October 3, 1960 in Hobbs, NM to John Wayne and Elizabeth Ivory. He worked as a hairdresser in Lovington and Hobbs and taught dance classes at New Mexico Junior College. John enjoyed drawing, oil painting and working in his garden. He loved team roping, break away roping, pole bending and barrel racing. John was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sister, Elaine Ivory of Hobbs brotherinlaw, Clifford Nunley of Hobbs niece, Brenda Nunley of Hobbs 7 aunts, 4 uncles and numerous cousins.
