Kenneth Dean

Kenneth was born to Nora P. Thompson and Freeman Dean on August 21, 1956 in El Paso Texas. Kenneth is the third child of six children and eldest son. He passed into heavens gate on December 2, 2020. Funeral services for Kenneth will be held on Tuesday, December 15, with a public viewing from 10-2 and funeral services starting at 2:00pm at Griffin Funeral Home. Kenneth attended school from Kindergarten through high school graduation in Albuquerque NM. He later attended New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs NM on a basketball scholarship. Shortly thereafter, he met and married Norma G. Hicks. And they raised 3 children, Armatha, David and Nora. Kenneth was a Dallas Cowboy fan through and through. He also enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and camping in the mountains. He enjoyed supporting his children in their activities from sports to dance. He was someone that their friends could also look to for support. He was kind soul and helpful to anyone.

Kenneth was preceded in death by daughter; Nora Dean. Mother; Nora Dean and father; Freeman Dean.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife; Norma Dean. Children; Armatha Bell and David Dean. Siblings, Brenda Clayton (Thomas), Linda Houston, Freeman Dean Jr., Robert Dean, and Barbie Sirmons. 6 grandchildren, Jordan Bell, Latreyll Bell, Tatiana Hicks, Deon Bell, Armeila Dean, and Kamille Bell. A host of other relatives and friends will miss him as well.

Kenneth will forever remain precious in the hearts of his whole family. As he always said, “I’m just a simple man, doing the best I can.”
