Kenneth Harry Naatz, 88, passed from this life to the next on June 8, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born to Harry and Adela Naatz on July, 13, 1930 in Kasson, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 13, 2019 at Griffin Funeral Home at 10:00am. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00-8:00pm. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Kenneth was born one of four children to his loving parents in Minnesota, who were very true to their German roots. So true in fact that he didn't learn to speak English until he started at school. Kenneth was always smiling, joking and teasing. Giving nicknames to everyone, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life. Kenneth joined the United States Airforce, not once but twice, reenlisting the day after he was discharged so that he could go and serve his country in the Korean War. His dedication was admirable, not only to his country but to his family as well. Kenneth met his lovely wife, Maria, just seventeen days before they were married. He knew a quality woman when he saw one though, because they spent her entire life together, a total of 64 years. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
Left to treasure his memory always are his children Cindi Watson, Teresa Kramer, and Kenneth Naatz Jr, as well as his brother Butch Naatz, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Services are under the care of Griffin Funeral Home.
