Larry Raga

Larry Dean Raga, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, left this earth on November 15, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on March 4, 1949, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he was the son of John and Ella Mae Raga. Larry graduated from Central High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

In 1971, Larry married his soulmate, Georgia Gay, on June 14 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Together, they shared 53 years of love and companionship. Larry’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He particularly cherished playing board games with his grandchildren and watching them play in the backyard.

A Nascar fan, Larry enjoyed watching the races, and in retirement, he spent many hours relaxing with puzzles. He also had a deep love for animals, with a special fondness for horses. Larry had a special way of showing his love for his grandchildren, often naming his goats after them, a testament to his caring and thoughtful nature.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Georgia; sons, Larry, Jason (Leanna), and John (Jackie); grandchildren, Logan, Richard, Morgan, Madison, Martina (Trent), Chelsi, Emmet and Matthias; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Paisley, and William; siblings, Roger, Gary, and Sandra; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Mae.

Above all, Larry was a selfless man who always put others first. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.
