Lemuel Mcdaniel

Lemuel McDaniel, 85, of Hobbs, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2013 at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Guy Coupe, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:008:00 PM, Sunday at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mr. McDaniel was born in Fox City, Oklahoma on February 2, 1927 to Corbin and Lois Allgood McDaniel. He married Johniece Hannan on August 31, 1948 and they celebrated over 64 wonderful years of marriage. Mr. McDaniel retired from Marathon Oil Company. He loved fishing, especially on the jetty in Port Aransas,TX. Mr. McDaniel was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Dorothy Roberts and Evelyn Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnice McDaniel of the home daughters, Lela Willams and husband, Jerry of Roswell, Rhetha Mings and husband, Michael of Hobbs and Flo Lee of Hobbs sons, William McDaniel and wife, Vicki of Hobbs and Danny McDaniel and wife Rhonda of Hobbs brother, Roger Dale McDaniel of Minnesota grandchildren, Jessica and Brandon Castleman, Jana McDaniel, Danny and Ashley Criswell, Michael and Staci Criswell, Amanda and Sy Panzer, Tyler and Adrienne Williams, Kayla Williams and Jacob, Molly and Darrik Lasater, Katie and Bryan Crowley, Shannon and Amy Lee, Shala and Chris Lopez, Tracey and Jen Lee, Waylon and Maria Lee, Erika and Daniel Rosa, Jamie and Eric Swing, Lacey and Isaac Trevino, Corbin McDaniel and Jake McDaniel 43 great grandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild, Hadlie.
