Margie Joyce Landreth, 90 years of age, passed on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Beehive Homes of Hobbs.
Margie was born August 17, 1934, in Dublin, Texas to the late Bennie and Bertie Walden. Margie was the second oldest of four children, two of whom preceded her in death, Louise Manes, and Kenneth Walden. Margie went to Monument and Eunice Schools.
Margie married the late Deloyed Landreth on June 9, 1951, and 3 children were born from this union. Margie professed her life to Christ. The family has been longtime residents of Eunice. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eunice, NM and served many of her amazing foods to those that needed it.
Margie loved fishing, motorcycling with the family, and especially enjoying life with her friends, with the many trips she took with them. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”
Her loving memory is cherished by her brother Ted Walden (Pat) from Dumas TX, a brother in law Henry Fox Jr. (Carol) from Eunice, NM, her children, daughter Joy Lara (Bill) of Las Cruces, NM, son Dusty Landreth (Donna) of Eunice, NM and daughter Linda Lenci (Earl) of Great Falls, MT. 3 Grandchildren, Deloyed Landreth (Lisa) from Hobbs, NM, Deonna Mcmahan (Jonathan) from Eunice, NM and Eryn Kelly (Brian) from Alberton, MT, 6 Great Grandchildren, Breonna Garcia from Eunice, NM, Dayden Landreth from Hobbs, NM, Abram and Kayden Mcmahan from Eunice NM, Wren and Jack Kelly from Alberton, MT. and numerous nephews and friends.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date. All services are in care Griffin Funeral Home.
