Mary Cofer

Mary Ruth Cofer, of Hobbs, passed away on September 16, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born February 27, 1952 in DeKalb, Texas to Walter and Lorene Brewer. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Home at 11am, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at Griffin Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 12-7pm to pay their respects.

Mary was above all other things a devoted wife and mother. She was devoted to her husband of many years, Dwight, and loved taking care of him and their two children. Mary was creative, working on various craft projects and sewing projects, she was also an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, elephants and butterflies. Over the years Mary delighted in many trips to the California coast, where she was able to spend not only the time at the beach with her husband, also enjoy the long ride with him as well. Her gracious and giving spirit will be dearly missed by all who love her.

Preceding her in passing are her parents, Walter and Lorene, and her brother Don Brewer.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband Dwight, son Alex Cofer, daughter Holly (Michael) Barrick, sister Elsie Hill, best friend Debbie Gilmore and numerous other friends and family.
