Norman Lynn Williams was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on January 31, 1952. He moved to his heavenly home on his 69th birthday, January 31, 2021. He was the fifth child of eight born to the late Gene and Gwendolyn Williams.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Fama Gene, his daughter Narissa Lynn and her husband Darin Toliver, his son Theron Williams and wife, Amanda; His beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Sara Toliver, Drake, Emma, Ella, Dane and Eden Williams all of Sapulpa, OK, Courtney and Ansley Guthrie of Pearson, GA, and his great-grandson, Talon Lake Toliver who brought Papaw Norman so much joy.
Norman was a meticulously skilled carpenter and currently owned and operated Accredited Builders in Hobbs. His passion
for crappie fishing was unmatched. He could fish all day without a bite and still call it a good day.
Norman’s love for Jesus is what made his life so remarkable. A few characteristics that fit him perfectly are: kind, humble, sweet, good, faithful, calm, steadfast, wise, forgiving, dependable, compassionate, honest, peacemaker, strong, pure, inspiring, patient, influential, true, great, Godly, respectful, happy, funny, smart, caring, comforting, consistent, and ornery. He was a prince among men. The many lives that Norman touched will forever be impacted by his life.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Free Holiness Church located at 1901 North French Drive, Hobbs, NM, on Wednesday February 3, 2021, from 12-3pm.
Norman’s Home-going celebration will be held at Hobbs First Assembly of God located at 800 West Bender, Hobbs, NM, on Thursday February 4, 2021, at 2pm.
Interment will be at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, OK, on Saturday February 6, 2021, at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a foundation in Norman’s name. He was an avid supporter of the Gospel and those who carry it to the world. The Norman Williams Foundation, a ministry of helps has been established to support ministers, ministries and missions that further the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
