Otilio Medrano

Otilio F. Medrano, 86, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Otilio was born on July 13, 1934 to Francisco Medrano Sr. and Manuela Flores in Ojinaga, Mexico del Rancho El Mezquite. Otilio was loved ranching and planting, growing his own crops. They called him “El Cowboy” in White Sands, to his family he was known as a loving hard worker and was a great provider. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons: Hector and Daniel Medrano; bother Francisco Medrano, Jr.; and sisters Antonia Cortez, Aurora Yañez and Eduarda Ortega. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Cruz Orona Medrano of 62 years; sons: Sabino Medrano, Jose Luis Medrano (Maria), Hipolito Medrano (Catalina) and Otilio Medrano, Jr.; daughters: Guadalupe Morales (Luis), Eliazer Medrano, Amabilia Guevara (Samuel), Rosie Jaramillo (Ricky), Yesenia Medrano and Sandra Medrano (Pedro Alaniz); sisters: Beatriz Gonzalez and Margarita Carrasco; and 35 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10AM- 3PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Facial coverings and social distancing will be enforced.
