Pantaleon Enriquez

Pantaleon "Pete" Enriquez, 90, of Hobbs passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Helena Catholic Church with Reverend James Duplissey as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 pm-8:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Pantaleon was born on October 27, 1927 in Rotan, Texas to Pedro and Margarita Enriquez. He married Amelia Garza on October 27, 1946 in Piedras Negras, Mexico and they celebrated over 71wonderful years of marriage. At the time of his retirement he was employed by Watson Truck & Supply. He enjoyed woodworking and loved making pinatas for all of the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, 2 sisters, 3 granddaughters and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Amelia Enriquez of the home; daughters, Carmen Frederick of Hobbs, Norma Kennedy (Karl) of Waxahachie, TX, Rosa Trevino of Hobbs, Margie Betancur of San Antonio, TX and Nora Martinez of Hobbs; sons, Louis Enriquez (RaeAnn) of Waxahachie, TX and Rudy Enriquez of Hobbs; sisters, Margarita Robinson of Uvalde, TX and Maria Alma Valdez of Hutto, TX; brothers, Juan Enriquez of San Jose, CA, Pedro and Alejandro Enriquez of Hobbs and Marcos and Rudolpho Enriquez of Uvalde, TX and 84 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
