Richard Betts, Sr.

Richard Dick P. Betts, Sr. was born on November 15, 1933 in Milnesand, NM to Ollie Lee and Georgia Belle Betts. He died peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on December 28, 2013. He married Margaret Fortner on June 9, 1954 and they were married for over 59 years. Mr. Betts was preceded in death by his parents brothers, Robert Bob Betts and Ollie Pinkie Betts sisters, Maggie Lee Lott, Minnie Belle Lott and Betty Inez Merill.

Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Betts daughter, Debra White of Hobbs sons, Richard Betts, Jr. and wife, Isela of Hobbs, Phillip Betts and wife, Stephanie of Aztec, NM and Jeffery Betts and wife, Ingrid of Ramah, CO sisters, Ora McAfee of Odessa, TX and Lorena Roberts of Wilman,TX 9 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
