Rosa Mackey

Rosa Marie Mackey was born on April 21, 1933 in the Hester Grove community of Tupelo Texas and she passed away on August 24, 2014. Survivors include her husband, Vernon Mackey Sr. children, Alice Benford, of Hobbs, Vernard Mackey Sr. Deborah of Dallas TX, Jerry Mackey Sr. Maxine of San Diego CA, Arthur Mackey Sr. Retta of Hobbs, and Vernon Mackey Jr. Karen of Hobbs grandchildren, Sherina BenfordOwens, Tyler Benford, Alicia Benford, Vernard Mackey Jr., Joseph Mackey, Dede Mackey, Jerry Mackey Jr., Sharron Mackey, Tina Dunn, Anthony Dunn, Michael Dunn, Erick Dunn, Roshell Mackey, Tonya Mackey, Arthur Mackey Jr., Kerry Mackey, Sherinda Atkinson, Jason Mackey and Vernon Mackey, III, forty great grandchildren along with many other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Plymouth Howard Lee and Birdie B. Montgomery and her four brothers, Plymouth William PW Lee, Jimmie Lee, Leon Lee, and Arthur Lee and her three sisters Ruby Mackey, Mattie Lee, and Birdie Louise Davis and grandson Devin Mackey.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2014 at Christ Holy Temple COGIC. The family will greet guests at Griffin Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28 from 5:00 8:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to Christ Holy Temple at 2006 E. White Street, Hobbs NM 88240.
