Rosalinda V. Ramirez “Rosie” entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on June 27, 2023. Rosie was born on April 24, 1947, in San Diego, Texas to Juan and Elida Valerio. She married Romeo “Neo” Ramirez on December 16, 1964.
Neo and Rosie moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in 1967 and were long time residents until 2017. Rosie worked with Hobbs Municipal Schools for over 30 years. She then retired to her ranch home in La Rosita, Texas. Rosie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and she deeply loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and bonus children, that all called her “Grandma Rosie.” She extended her love to all her nephews and nieces near and far. Everyone who knew her, knew she loved her “sweet tea” and her sweet treats. Before being diagnosed with Parkinson’s 17 years ago. Rosie was very active and competitive in; Softball, volleyball, bowling, video games and had a grand passion for La Loteria (Spanish bingo). Also trying her luck at any close by casino. She was a member of Vida Nueva Church in Hobbs for 20 years and served on the worship team and children’s church.
Rosie is proceeded in death by her parents Juan and Elida Valerio of San Diego, Texas.
She is Survived by her husband Romeo (Neo) Ramirez, son Erasmo Ramirez (Naomi) of Phoenix, Arizona, daughters Bonnie Garner (Robert Jr.) of Hobbs, New Mexico, Monica Martinez (Juan) of Hobbs, New Mexico, Lisa Ramirez of Alice, Texas, brother Rodolfo Valerio (Jackie) of La Rosita, Texas, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and numerous family members that were dear to her heart.
