Rosita Martinez

Rosita Martinez was born on October 26, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas. To her loving parents Irmagenes Gutierrez and Trinidad Lopez. She was a resident of Hobbs New Mexico, where she owned a restaurant, Rosie and Jesse ran J&R Goodies for over 25 years. She passed away on August 31, 2023. In Hobbs, New Mexico.

Rosita also known as “nosey Rosey” was a woman full of life who enjoyed going to play slots at the casino. She loved her Cardinals! And was also into hunting, fishing and gardening. She could be a little stubborn but was a very loving person. Rosita loved making tamales and having family get-togethers on the weekends. You would never see her without her “lipistic” and her house would never be found without her decorated Christmas tree for every holiday of the year. Rosita is now home with her beloved husband Jesse Martinez and her son Tracy Martinez in heaven.

Rosita is also preceded by her parents, and her brother Guadalupe Gutierrez. She is survived by her children Peggy Gonzales and Roy Martinez and her brother Angel Gutierrez (Alby), (Tina) and her nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren. She will forever be loved and missed.
