Sam Buchanan

Sam Buchanan, 80 of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 14, 2016 in Prairie Haven Cemetery with the Reverend Greg Kennedy, officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Hobbs Lodge No. 63 AF & AM.

Sam was born on May 5, 1936 in Baird, Texas. He married Adolyn Buchanan in 1956 and they celebrated over 60 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on October 14, 2016. Sam enjoyed church, golfing, being with his grandchildren and playing with his great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, S. B. and Mary Buchanan; son, Rex Buchanan; one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Karilyn Pye and husband, Matt of The Woodlands, TX; son, Tad Buchanan and wife, Vicki of Katy, TX; sister Vaughndell Warren of Lubbock, TX; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
