Sara Levy

Sara Beth Levy, a long-standing pillar of the community passed away on August 25th with family at her side. Sara Beth (Mickey) suffered a lengthy illness with Cancer and fought a tough battle till the end.  She was born in Stevensville Texas on October 21st, 1932 and moved to Hobbs New Mexico in her early years.  This is where she met her Husband Herman S Levy and was married in 1952 until her passing. Mickey worked side by side with her husband for many years at Levy Auto Parts in Hobbs, NM and was a long standing member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international non-profit sorority that funded and hosted charity events for the community.

She was the daughter of Clifton and June Sherrill and is survived by her Husband Herman S. Levy, sister Dorothy Buckner of Tucson Arizona and her four children, Michael R Levy of Hobbs NM, Deneice S Levy of Southern California, Mitchell L Levy of Hobbs NM and Nancy Levy of Hobbs NM.  8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 Great-Great grandchildren.

She was loved and admired by all her family and was always there to guide and share her wisdom. Mickey was a woman of faith and known throughout her life as a fun, witty and vicarious person that shared her joy with others.  She would love her life to be celebrated in the same joyful remembrance by her family and friends.
