Saul Aranda

On Friday, October 9th, 2020, Saul P. Aranda a.k.a. The Rock Man, loving son, brother, uncle, adored

husband, father, and grandpa, who always made you feel loved. At the age of 55, Saul went to be a

warrior for Jesus. He was a beloved friend to all who knew him. Saul, of Hobbs, was born to Senobio

Ortiz Aranda and Graciela Prieto Aranda on June 5, 1965.

Saul’s passion in life was his family and friends. Being a great provider and telling the best stories, he

knew how to be the life of the party. He was known for his kind heart and ability to always put a smile

on your face. He loved deer hunting and adored being a grandpa.

Saul was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Valente and Micaela Aranda, Lorenzo and Magdalena

Prieto, brother Senobio Jr., and grandbaby Ellie. Survived by his parents: Senobio and Grace Aranda; 3

siblings and spouses: Cristy and Mario Gonzales, Veronica and Brian Lavoie, and Lilly and Gere Montoya;

Loving Wife Elia Aranda, his children Melissa and Jonathan Ramirez, Elizabeth, Valerie, and best friend

Carl Christensen. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jonathan Jr., Sarai Veronica; and many nieces,

nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

A Funeral Service in his honor will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Bethel Church in Hobbs

at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow services. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on

Tuesday, October 13 from 12-5 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.
