Sue Mceachern

Sue McEachern, 81, of Hobbs, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, 2525 N. Jefferson St. with Pastor Dan Purdy, officiating.

Sue was born on April 17, 1934 in Moran, Texas to Tim and Ima Hamilton. She married Ray McEachern on August 8, 1953 in Cisco, TX and they celebrated over 35 years of wonderful marriage until his death in 1988. Sue was one of the original members of Hobbs Original Group of Alcoholics Anonymous and was proud of her sobriety. She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years. Sue was a proud mom, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucy Shirley, Nancy Stone and Patsy Lou Hamilton and her brother, Bob Hamilton.

Survivors include her sons, Don McEachern and wife, Denise of Hobbs, Jay McEachern of Lafayette, LA and Bob McEachern and wife, JoAnna of Hobbs; daughter, Debbie Braden and husband, Arnold of Imperial, TX; sister, Jill Cauble of San Antonio, TX;14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews and childhood friend, Nadine Wilbanks of Eastland, TX.
