Vera Butler

Vera Jackie Butler, 84, of Hobbs, passed away, Monday, April 1, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 5, 2013 at Griffin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Butler was born on July 8, 1928 in Marshall, Texas to William and Corra Etheredge. She married Roy Butler on February 28, 1947 in Kermit, TX and they celebrated over 64 wonderful years of marriage until his death on April 29, 2011. Mrs. Butler was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lea General Hospital and for Dr. Branson for many years. She loved to crochet, cook and garden, but her true love was her family. Mrs. Butler was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents daughter, Rebecca Butler and sisters, Gretchen Rogers and Gloria Erwin.

Survivors include her daughter, Debby Camacho and husband, Peter son, Bill Butler and wife, Kim brother, Rick Etheredge and wife, Louise grandchildren, Rebecca Vosika and husband, Bo, Chris Camacho and wife, Jona, Casey Camacho and wife, Izumi, Kelly Butler and Patrick Butler great grandchildren, Natalie Sonberg and Vivian Vosika and her dearly loved nieces and nephews.
