Vera Scott

Vera Em’ly Scott, of Hobbs, passed away on October 18th, 2021 at the age of 85 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She was born on January 12, 1936, to George Glasspoole and Vera Leiler Glasspoole. A funeral service for Vera will be held on Monday 2pm, October 25, 2021, at Griffin Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Friends and family that wish to pay respects may do so that same morning starting at 10am.

Vera was a strong, compassionate, God loving woman. She enjoyed doing charity work for many worthy causes. Vera loved her family and her cats. She loved spending time with those she loved, especially during the holidays which she always decorated for. Vera also was incredibly hardworking and dedicated, working as a partner and co-owner of the Harley Dealership in Hobbs for many years.

Vera is preceded in passing by her parents and her brothers; John Glasspoole, Bob Glasspoole and Billy Leonidas, as well as by her grandson Bobby Mac Attaway.

Left to treasure her memory are her two sons, Lyle and Bob Attaway, granddaughter Stephanie Blake Frost & husband David Frost, along with their children Caleb and Cody Frost. She is also survived by brothers Frank Glasspoole and Tom Glasspoole, as well as many friends and extended family who love her.
